A landmark Fort Worth shopping center is under contract to be sold to a prominent Dallas development company.

Lincoln Property Co. is buying the 290,000-square-foot Village at Camp Bowie shopping center on Camp Bowie Boulevard southwest of downtown Fort Worth.

Built between the 1940s and 1960s, the multi-block retail center is one of Fort Worth’s most popular, close-in shopping districts.

The shopping center was extensively remodeled starting in 2004 and currently enjoys high occupancy.

Lincoln Property is looking at further upgrades for the retail center and talking with potential new clients.

The experienced Dallas commercial property investor and developer is renovating shopping centers at home in East Dallas and Oak Lawn. Lincoln is remodeling part of the Lakewood shopping center, redeveloping a center just south of White Rock Lake, and is revamping the Turtle Creek Village retail center in Oak Lawn.

And in Addison, Lincoln is a partner in the redevelopment of the almost 30-year-old Village on the Parkway retail center.
